Communication is key – not just in business life – also for our SelectION chargers. That’s why we revolutionized the CAN Communication between the charger and the battery with one goal: to make the communication as easy and user-friendly as possible. When our protocol is implemented by battery manufacturer, plug & charge is your new standard.
Through an automatic baud rate detection, the charger adapts individually to your lithium-ion battery. Your benefit? Versatile charging ensuring highest levels of safety
- Baud rate can be fixed at the charger (125 kpbs, 250 kpbs, 500 kpbs or 1 mbps) or set to automatic detection.
- The hardware interface automatically detects the voltage of the connected batteries.
- CANopen: CAN 4.0 A 11Bit
- The communication between BMS and charger is monitored (heartbeats every 100 ms).

Why lithium-ion traction batteries
